The Family Partnership was founded in 1878 as the Minneapolis Humane Society to protect and serve children that were being abused or exploited. Along with a few name changes, our work has continually transformed to anticipate and address the evolving needs of families and individuals, many of whom are the most vulnerable in our community.

$18.00-$19.00 per hour

This is a regular part-time position, and we are seeking candidates who can commit to at least 15 and up to 20 hours per week. The shifts that are currently available include:
Mondays-Fridays 7-11am and Mondays-Fridays 10:30am-2pm. In the summertime, there may be options to work more hours per week.

Employees who are regularly scheduled 18.75 hours a week or more will be eligible for the following benefits:

• $1,000 hiring bonus after 3 months of employment

Employees who are regularly scheduled for less than 18.75 hours a week will be eligible for the following benefits:

• $1,000 hiring bonus after 3 months of employment
• Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST)

The Family Partnership is hiring two(2) Teacher's Aides to support Lead and Assistant Teachers at Four Directions, which is a full-day therapeutic education and care program for children aged 6 weeks to 11 years of age. Four Directions is committed to the revitalization of the Dakota and Ojibway languages. We work with our partner Wicoie Nandagikendan to provide language immersion and culturally responsive early childhood education.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting teachers during activities, transitions, play, outdoor time, meals, and rest.
• Actively supervising children at all times.
• Engaging children in developmentally appropriate interactions that support exploration, belonging, and independence.
• Assisting children in regulating emotions, resolving conflict, and developing social skills.
• Assisting with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and hygiene routines.
• Supporting mealtime routines following CACFP guidelines.
• Cleaning and disinfecting toys, materials, tables, and learning spaces throughout the day.
