This position is a long-term substitute assignment from August 24, 2026, through December 18, 2026. The School Psychologist provides comprehensive school psychologist services that support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health needs. Responsibilities include conducting special education evaluations and reevaluations, facilitating meetings related to special education eligibility and Child Find obligations, participating in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), providing consultation to staff and families, and supporting school crisis response and threat assessment processes.

Special Education Evaluation and Assessment

• Conduct comprehensive special education evaluations and reevaluations in accordance with state and federal special education regulations.
• Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, academic, social-emotional, behavioral, adaptive, and functional assessments.
• Prepare written evaluation reports that clearly communicate findings and educational implications.
• Participate in eligibility determination meetings and provide recommendations regarding special education services and supports.
• Ensure compliance with timelines and procedural requirements related to special education evaluations.

Child Find and Problem-Solving Support

• Facilitate and participate in Child Find and intervention planning meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff to identify students requiring academic, behavioral, or mental health interventions.
• Assist teams in analyzing data and determining appropriate interventions and supports.

Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)

• Participate as a member of the school's MTSS team.
• Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of evidence-based academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.
• Assist staff in data-based decision-making to improve student outcomes.

Consultation and Collaboration

• Consult with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health concerns.
• Provide recommendations for instructional strategies, behavioral interventions, accommodations, and supports.
• Foster collaborative relationships among school staff, students, families, and community agencies.

Crisis Response and Threat Assessment

• Participate in school crisis prevention, intervention, and recovery activities.
• Conduct suicide risk assessments and provide recommendations regarding student safety planning and support.
• Serve on school threat assessment teams and assist in evaluating and responding to student safety concerns.
• Collaborate with school administrators and community partners during crisis situations.
