Education Assistant
Position available for Education Assistant for the Early Adventures Childcare Neill Elementary School with a starting pay of $21.92 and benefits based on class 2 of the current Education Assistant contract. A $2000 hiring bonus is available if qualified. The position offers 32.5 hours per week, 42 weeks per year with optional summer work. The schedule is from 6:15 am to 1:15 pm, Monday through Friday.

Our team is passionate about early childhood development and works collaboratively to support each child's unique learning journey. We are seeking a compassionate and dependable education assistant to join our preschool team.
This role is designed to provide engaged supervision for students during the preschool component of the day. The Education Assistant will be in ratio, supporting the classroom as a whole, and will work closely with the teaching and leadership team to help implement group daily plans to foster an inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting children with what they need while actively participating in classroom ratios and activities.
- Collaborating with staff team to provide individualized attention and encouragement.
- Assisting in implementing student success plans and behavior strategies as part of a collaborative team.
- Helping monitor progress and provide input on student development for all students.
- Promoting positive social-emotional and cognitive growth through nurturing, play-based interaction.
- Supporting daily routines, classroom management, and transitions.
- Maintaining a safe and engaging environment that aligns with program policies and DHS certified center standards.
- Communicating effectively and professionally with colleagues and supervisors regarding student needs and progress.
Qualifications include:
- Successful experience working with preschool-age children.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- A minimum of 12-24 credits in education, child development or related education from an accredited university or vocational school preferred but not required.
- Must be able to see and hear children to keep them safe in a childcare setting.
- Must be able to supervise children both outside and indoors daily.
