Twin Cities International Schools (TCIS) is taking applications for an EL/ESL/ELL (English Language) Teacher to work with Elementary and Middle School students (Grades 6-8) for the upcoming 2026-27 school year with an immediate start date available. Applicants must hold a valid Minnesota EL teaching license prior to classroom teaching. We are a public charter school located in the North Loop of Minneapolis with a student enrollment of approximately 1,000 (K-8) students and a large LEP population.
The EL teacher will be responsible for teaching various groups of students, creating lesson plans, working with collaborative teams, engaging in clear communication with both staff and students and contributing positively to the learning and development of students. Experience with standards-based instruction, English Language Learners and common assessments a plus. A dual licensed, Elementary School Education and EL Licensure is preferred.
Salary is determined by experience and education, with the upcoming 2026-27 school year licensed employee salaries ranging from $47,568.18 to $85,922.88. Current Tier 3 or 4 teacher salary starts at $51,828.55. Additional salary amounts available for completed Master's, Master's + 60 credits, Ed.D. or Ph.D.
Additional benefits are also available for full-time employees, including medical, dental and vision benefits (optional) and include coverage of employee, employee + 1 or family. Employee is responsible for a monthly insurance premium, depending on plan and coverage selected. Life Insurance/AD&D, along with Short-term and Long-term disability coverage, is provided by TCIS. Flex spending accounts for medical or dependent care are also available, but optional.
TCIS requires enrollment in TRA (Teacher's Retirement Association) retirement plan for all licensed employees.
