As the Full-Service Community Schools Grant Program Specialist, you will monitor, evaluate and provide guidance to grantees to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing the administration of the Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) grants, while also supporting programs within the Public Engagement Division. Duties will include:
+ Administer the State and Federal Full-Service Community Schools grant program to include coordinating competitive grant opportunities, monitor grantee compliance, review and approve budgets, and ensure all required reports are completed accurately and on time.
+ Champion the Full-Service Community Schools strategies and key practices by designing and facilitating training, coaching, and professional development, providing technical assistance and fostering partnerships.
+ Design and deliver training and training of trainers on transformation strategies including Full-Service Community School plans, community needs assessment, family and community engagement protocols, and other related transformation strategies for school sites and local LEAs.
+ Evaluate for effectiveness grantee transformation plans including Full-Service Community School plans, community needs assessment, family and community engagement protocols, and other related transformation strategies for school sites and LEAs.
+ Coordinates collaborations to develop internal MDE and statewide capacities to implement evidence-based school transformation strategies and partnerships. (For example, Family and Community Engagement Model to Support Schools, Full-Service Community Schools, and collective impact strategies such as Education Coalition Partnerships, etc.)
+ Maintains knowledge of equity-focused, non-academic, and collective impact school and community transformation strategies, national initiatives, legislation, and research, and identifies opportunities for innovation within and beyond the Minnesota Department of Education.
Telework:
This position is eligible for hybrid telework. Employees living within 50 miles of the office location listed above will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month. Employees may reside outside the state of Minnesota if they live in a state bordering Minnesota and are within 50 miles of the primary work location. Existing employees who were approved to telework from a bordering state and more than 50 miles from their work location before June 1, 2025, may retain this arrangement unless they move farther away.

* Five (5) years of experience in project management with strong analytical and organizational skills, budget monitoring and compliance oversight.
A Doctorate degree may substitute for two years of experience; A Master's degree may substitute for 18 months of experience; A Bachelor's degree may substitute for one year of experience; and an Associate's degree may substitute for six months of experience.
