**** POSITION

ACCOUNTABILITIES
*** Facilitates learning activities so that students learn the principles, theory, skills, and work ethic necessary to become proficient for entry level positions
* Creates a positive learning environment
* Monitors, assesses and advises learners on technical and academic progress and performance
* Uses current academic and industry practices in assigned courses of instruction
* Develops and upgrades lesson material, training aids and maintains equipment within assigned course of instruction
* Assists in the recruitment and placement of learners
* Designs and develops new curriculum within the Automotive Service program
* Participates in industry and/or professional organizations in order to maintain and enhance program health and academic integrity.
* Assists in curriculum health improvements in the assigned program.
* Attend technical update classes annually to maintain certifications.
* Participate in recruiting events.
* Other duties as assigned.

** QUALIFICATIONS
* ** AAS Degree from a 2-year accredited Automotive Service Program
* Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
* 5 years of professional industry experience
* 1-3 years teaching experience preferred
* Minimum of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification for subject taught  + Master ASE Certification preferred  + ASE L-1 & L-3 preferred
* Experience using Microsoft office products
* Strong written and oral communication skills
