Senior Electrical Engineer - GeneralistLocation: Twin Cities, MN

Senior Electrical Engineer - GeneralistOverview:
This role is ideal for an experienced electrical engineer with a broad background in medical device product development. The engineer will contribute to the design and development of implantable and diagnostic systems, supporting cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop analog and digital circuits for implantable and diagnostic devices
- Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and software teams to integrate and test designs
- Support verification, validation, and documentation activities
- Participate in design reviews and risk assessments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in medical device product development
- Strong understanding of circuit design, PCB layout, and testing
- Familiarity with FDA and ISO standards for medical devices
Compensation:
Up to $125,000 base salary + 10% annual bonus
Overview:
This role focuses on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and interference (EMI) in MRI environments. The engineer will serve as a subject matter expert, leading design and compliance efforts to ensure safety and performance of devices in high-field MRI systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead EMI/EMC design strategy and testing for MRI-compatible devices
- Develop shielding, filtering, and grounding solutions
- Collaborate with regulatory and test labs to ensure compliance with global standards
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of professional experience (flexible to
8), with deep expertise in EMI/EMC - Experience with MRI compatibility and medical device standards (e.g., IEC 60601-1-2)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Compensation:
Up to $140,000 base salary (flexible to $150,000) + 15% annual bonus
Overview:
This position is for a high-voltage circuit design expert with experience in implantable medical devices. The engineer will lead the development of energy delivery systems for applications such as defibrillators and neurostimulators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize high-voltage circuits for implantable applications
- Ensure safety, reliability, and miniaturization of energy delivery systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and testing
- Support regulatory submissions and design documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of professional experience (flexible to
8), with strong expertise in high-voltage design - Experience with implantable medical devices and safety-critical systems
- Knowledge of biocompatibility, power management, and energy storage
Compensation:
Up to $140,000 base salary (flexible to $150,000) + 15% annual bonus
