Join Thermo King as a Modeling & Simulation Capabilities Manager and embark on an exciting professional journey where you will lead and mentor a talented team dedicated to advancing our 1D system-level and 3D CAD and CAE analysis capabilities. In this role, you will set strategic direction, own the roadmap for modeling capabilities, and ensure alignment with enterprise objectives. You will also collaborate cross-functionally to integrate modeling insights across the development lifecycle, champion best practices, define standard work, and track KPIs to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and impact on product development.

Where Is The Work

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week in Bloomington, MN
.

What you will do
  • Lead and mentor a team specializing in developing and deploying capabilities for 1D system-level and 3D CAD and CAE analysis for architecture, design and control purposes.
  • Set strategic direction and own roadmap for modeling capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with system architects, product design teams, controls and testing teams to integrate modeling insights across the development lifecycle.
  • Define standard work and track KPIs for modeling activities. Champion best practices in modeling, simulation, and analysis to improve accuracy, efficiency, and impact on product development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth mindset. Identify opportunities for automation, advanced techniques, and adoption of emerging modeling tools.
  • Work closely with IT and software vendors to keep modeling infrastructure current, scalable, and secure.
  • Communicate technical findings and strategy to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and intellectual property guidelines.
What you will bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in modeling/simulation (1D & 3D) with at least 3 years of managerial experience.
  • Strong leadership and people management experience; proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
  • Expertise in tools for simulation, design, and analysis (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, Dymola).
  • Excellent organizational change management skills. Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Passion for technological innovation and continuous improvement.
Compensation

Base Pay Range: $117,000 – $185,000.

Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
