EHS Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to lead safety and environmental programs across multiple facilities. This role works closely with site teams, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure a safe, compliant, and inspection-ready work environment at all times.

You’ll be the go-to person for OSHA compliance, safety training, audits, and environmental programs—helping create and maintain a workplace where safety comes first.

• Lead and manage OSHA compliance across all facilities, including safety programs, training, and documentation
• Act as the main point of contact during OSHA inspections and regulatory audits
• Maintain required safety and environmental records and ensure all filings are completed on time
• Perform daily and periodic safety inspections and address any identified risks
• Develop and manage emergency response plans and procedures
• Maintain and audit Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Work closely with HR, workers’ compensation providers, and insurance carriers to meet safety and policy requirements
• Create and manage safety and environmental budgets
• Develop and update safety, health, and environmental policies to meet current laws and regulations
• Lead monthly safety committee meetings

• Promote a strong safety-first culture throughout the organization
• Support additional safety-related projects as needed

• Associate degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in safety, environmental, or regulatory compliance roles
• ASP or CSP certification preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office

• Solid understanding of workplace safety principles and best practices
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
• Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes
• Understanding of federal, state, and local safety laws
