About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to lead safety and environmental programs across multiple facilities. This role works closely with site teams, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure a safe, compliant, and inspection-ready work environment at all times.
You’ll be the go-to person for OSHA compliance, safety training, audits, and environmental programs—helping create and maintain a workplace where safety comes first.
What You’ll Do- Lead and manage OSHA compliance across all facilities, including safety programs, training, and documentation
- Act as the main point of contact during OSHA inspections and regulatory audits
- Maintain required safety and environmental records and ensure all filings are completed on time
- Perform daily and periodic safety inspections and address any identified risks
- Develop and manage emergency response plans and procedures
- Maintain and audit Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Work closely with HR, workers’ compensation providers, and insurance carriers to meet safety and policy requirements
- Create and manage safety and environmental budgets
- Develop and update safety, health, and environmental policies to meet current laws and regulations
- Lead monthly safety committee meetings
, document action items, and follow up on concerns - Promote a strong safety-first culture throughout the organization
- Support additional safety-related projects as needed
- Associate degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in safety, environmental, or regulatory compliance roles
- ASP or CSP certification preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of workplace safety principles and best practices
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes
- Understanding of federal, state, and local safety laws
