Electronics Engineer - Hardware
Location:
Plymouth, US, 55447
Engagement:
Regular, Full-Time (Onsite)
Pay
: $90,000-$120,000 + profit sharing
- Design, layout and prototype analog and digital circuit boards that meet UL, CSA, CE, WEEE/RoHS standards and are optimized for Harmonics
- Conduct and radiate emission testing utilizing Altium Design Software
- Source necessary components for prototyping and vault project files and databases for PCB manufacturers and for mechanical engineers to properly document the project
- Perform EMI testing in-house or at a 3rd party lab for Bluetooth electronics or motor controllers that incorporate Power Factor Correction
- Work with PCBA suppliers to complete DFMs and address End of Life components
- Direct lab technicians for testing and qualifying designs; write Standard Test Procedures (STPs) and test reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall product development efforts
- Other duties as assigned
Relationship To Others
:
Position is part of the product development group and supports new marketing projects. Will be heavily involved with working with outside electronic suppliers and motor manufacturers.
Dimensions Of Position
:
Requires a self-sufficient individual who can design, prototype, and test new designs for electronically controlled sprayers and accessories. Works closely with other engineers, designers, and technicians.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, engineering, or related field; and 3+ years’ experience with hardware and software design of electronic controlled power equipment, preferably brushless DC motor controllers or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by the hiring manager and HR.
- Must have a working knowledge of C/C++ language
- LabVIEW experience is a plus
- Basic skill in Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Visio - Advanced skills in Altium
- Working knowledge of basic programming C/C++ or high-level languages (Python, Go) is a plus, but not required
- Proficient use of digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, function generators, and oscilloscopes
- Excellent critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills
- Ability to determine how a system should work and how variations affect outcomes

Work is performed in a standard office environment which may require lifting items with assistance and/or lifting and carrying light objects. Onsite role; may involve walking or standing and long periods of computer work and phone usage.
