NPD Engineer – Medical Devices (Contract, W2)
Location:Minneapolis, MN
Duration:12-Month Contract
Job Overview:Seeking a skilled NPD Engineer to support the development of new medical device products from concept through commercialization. The role involves design, prototyping, testing, and cross‑functional collaboration in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and improve medical device products in accordance with design controls and regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO 13485).
- Execute design verification and validation activities.
- Create technical documentation, risk assessments, and design history files.
- Collaborate with R&D, QA/RA, and manufacturing teams to ensure product readiness.
- Support prototype testing, design reviews, and troubleshooting of new products.
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Biomedical, or related Engineering field.
- 3+ years in medical device NPD or product design.
- Experience with design controls, risk management, and GxP compliance.
- Proficient with CAD software and product development tools.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
