Network Infrastructure Engineer

Glocomms is partnering with a top commercial utilities organization to find a Network Infrastructure Engineer to help them with modernizing the technology ecosystem and expanding its infrastructure across multiple office locations. The Network Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our hybrid infrastructure. You'll work closely with leadership, contribute to long‑term technology strategy, and help mentor junior team members.

• Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud/on‑premises infrastructure (Azure/Entra , Active Directory, enterprise networking).
• Manage VMware environments, including Horizon VDI, ESXi clusters, HA/DRS, and vCenter.
• Administer endpoint security tools and support cybersecurity initiatives (vulnerability assessments, incident response).
• Support major IT projects such as application rewrites, internal tool maintenance, and system integrations.
• Lead infrastructure and network buildouts for new office locations, including hardware deployment and vendor coordination.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex issues; participate in an on‑call rotation.
• Develop and maintain documentation such as runbooks, procedures, and security policies.
• Evaluate and coordinate with third‑party vendors for managed services and backup solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to long‑term infrastructure strategy.

• 7+ years in network or infrastructure engineering; 3+ years in a senior‑level role.
• Strong experience with Azure/Entra , Active Directory, enterprise networking, and hybrid environments.
• Hands‑on expertise with VMware Horizon View (VDI), VMware ESXi, HA/DRS, and vCenter.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (Crowd Strike, Threat Locker, Abnormal AI) and incident response practices.
• Experience with migrations, integrations, or technical buildouts.
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, Azure, CompTIA, VMware) are a plus.
