We will rely on your professional expertise to develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. The Product Manufacturing Engineer will develop strong communications with internal teams to estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.

At GDMS, we continually seek ways to develop and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing our teams knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.

Hands-on experience with manufacturing operations, process development and control

Solid knowledge with manufacturing processes and electrical/mechanical components, systems and applications

Ability to foster cross-functional collaboration within teams/Subject Matter Experts to ensure health of overall program

Creative thinking with the ability to multi-task Ability to perform analysis of workflow / load balancing and take appropriate action

Experience with new product introduction manufacturing, and transitioning new programs from development to production

Experience supporting assembly/test of circuit card and/or wired chassis manufacturing

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications; detail oriented

Experience in implementing new processes, documentation, and quality/process controls

Experience with overseeing project performance, cost, scope, and schedule

Ability to assess risk and scope changes that may impact program cost and schedule

Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success

Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects with successful outcomes

Exceptional communication skills with experience writing technical papers and proposals
