Electronics Technician Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Electronics Technician to join our team. This role is a first shift position, where you will provide guidance to the Test Department staff and support various engineering activities. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing, updating software and firmware, and writing and updating test procedures.

• Provide guidance and support to the Test Department staff.
• Support engineering activities including design, test, and check-out.
• Conduct routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing.
• Update software and firmware as necessary.
• Write and update test procedures.
• Apply deductive logic to troubleshoot failed circuits to sub-assembly and/or component level in analog and mixed signal systems.
• Manage and lead teams in various engineering tasks.
• Forecast repairs and manage scheduling demands.
• Authorize RMA and handle repair orders.

• 5-7 years of experience with PCB's.
• Proficient in soldering and using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience in electronics testing and circuit board analysis.
• Leadership development and management experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
• Knowledge of IPC-7711C and IPC-7721C standards.

• Experience overseeing PCB layouts and making necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Proficiency in problem management and scheduling.
• Experience in fabrication inspection and assembly.

The work environment is clean and enjoyable, providing a fun and collaborative space to work in. The company has been growing rapidly, having recently purchased their entire building facility. There are plans to expand the team size and operational capacity further over the year.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Minneapolis,MN.
