Job Description

A leading Civil Engineering firm specializing in land development is seeking a LSIT or Office Survey Technician. The successful candidate will work on a variety of metro area residential projects, ranging from small to large-scale developments. Responsibilities include drafting and preparing ALTA/NSPS surveys, preliminary and final plats, and certificates of survey for new home construction, as well as developed and custom home sites.

Additionally, this role may involve working on public development projects.

Responsibilities

+ Drafting survey certificates for housing developments and other new projects

+ Working with field crew ensuring that accurate data is coming in and being collected

+ Partnering with engineers as well as clients on the layout and grading plans

Essential Skills

+ Surveying experience 2+ years

+ ALTA/NSPS survey experience 2+ years

+ Drafting experience 2+ years

+ Proficiency in Civil 3D

+

Experience with AutoCAD

+ Knowledge of topography

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ LSIT certification is ideal but not required

+ Experience working in land development companies

+

Experience with in a surveying firm or team is advantageous

Work Environment

This individual will be working in the office majority of the time drafting and creating survey certificates. The position is Monday through Friday with some flexibility. The office staff consists of 4 Professional Engineers and 3 registered land surveyors who lead each team. Additionally, there are EITs and LSITs currently on staff, and 5-6 field crews operate during the summer.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
