Associate Engineer
Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced engineering technician or associate level engineer to support production and R&D efforts in an electronic production environment. As an Associate Engineer, you will closely collaborate with Process Engineers and Quality Engineers to enhance manufacturing and test processes.
Responsibilities- Meet production process goals related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Troubleshoot equipment to support equipment uptime.
- Interface frequently with production operators to gain feedback on assembly processes.
- Support continuous improvement activities for existing production equipment.
- Execute Preventative Maintenance work orders.
- Analyze and disposition electronic assemblies identified as non-conforming products.
- Support the ECO process through implementation and validation of engineering changes.
- Manage Customer Return assignments for initial response and actions for closure.
- Participate in design for manufacturability, assembly, and test activities.
- Experience in LabVIEW, Blueprint reading, and test equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and process improvement.
- Knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical engineering.
- Experience with cell layout and manufacturing cell support.
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical design.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 2+ years' experience working with electro-mechanical products and equipment.
- 2+ years' experience with process development and/or manufacturing engineering.
- 2+ years' experience with mechanical design and/or electrical design, NX preferred but not required (Solid Works and/or AutoCAD Electrical acceptable).
- Experience with PLCs and automation is a nice to have.
- Experience with LabVIEW is nice to have.
The position involves working in an office/cubicle setting as well as hands‑on work on the production floor, troubleshooting machines and possibly assisting with the assembly/build of production units. The facility offers a flexible schedule, a clean environment, and exposure to advanced electronics.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of MINNEAPOLIS, MN.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
