Position OverviewWe are seeking a Robotics & Automation Technician based in Minneapolis to support the installation, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of robotic systems across subtractive and additive manufacturing environments.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring on-site work and travel to customer facilities for system deployment.
Key Responsibilities- Install and commission industrial robotic systems
- Program and optimize robots for welding, machine tending, and additive manufacturing support
- Integrate robotic systems with CNC machines and 3D printing equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and programming issues
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability
- Support deployment of lights-out manufacturing cells
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process optimization
- Hands-on experience with industrial robots (Fanuc, KUKA, ABB, or similar)
- Experience in robotic welding and/or CNC automation
- Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical + electrical + controls)
- Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
- Comfortable working in industrial manufacturing environments
- Willingness to travel for installations and commissioning
- Experience with additive manufacturing systems (metal or polymer 3D printing)
- PLC integration knowledge
- Industrial robotics certifications
- Work on cutting-edge automation in both CNC and additive manufacturing
