Position Summary

This intern position works alongside experienced drafters and engineers in a group that provides support for Banner Connectivity products. In this position you will gain experience working with 2D and 3D CAD documentation for a variety of part types, including injection molding, extrusions, machining, hardware, subassemblies, process drawings, printed circuit boards, and more. This is a great opportunity to get real‑world experience.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager II.

Interns are responsible for arranging their own housing and transportation for the summer internship program.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supports product designs from conception through design, sourcing, and production
  • Updates product models, drawings, and documentation for components and assemblies following departmental processes and standards
  • Works within an Engineering Department comprised of a cross‑disciplinary staff of engineers
  • Creates assemblies and drawings using existing models for our website
  • Other duties as assigned

Required
  • Pursuing an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Design or Drafting
Preferred
  • Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD design software
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
  • Knowledge of Windchill PDM system
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn quickly with minimal direction
  • Available to work full‑time during the summer months with the possibility of working part‑time during the school year

Pay Range: $22.50 - $26/hour

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job‑related reasons.
