- Hardware Design & Development
Contribute to the design and development of medical electronic devices (safety-critical subsystems preferred).
Perform PCB bring-up
, functional testing
, and design validation of boards and modules.Review and interpret schematics and PCB layouts
; provide DFM/DFT feedback in collaboration with layout engineers.Work on mixed-signal designs including analog front-ends
, digital logic
, SMPS/linear power supplies
, isolated power
, and RF blocks (as applicable).- Testing, V&V & TMV
Develop test protocols
, test cases
, and traceability to design inputs and requirements.Execute Design Verification & Validation (DV&V) with complete documentation and objective evidence.
Lead Test Method Validation (TMV): define acceptance criteria, conduct Gage R&R/repeatability studies (as needed), and generate TMV reports
.Build and maintain test fixtures
, setups, and automation scripts (where applicable).- Debugging & Issue Resolution
Perform systematic debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, signal/power generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for board- and system-level issues; drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with cross-functional teams.
- Compliance & EMC
Support EMC/EMI pre-compliance and compliance testing for medical devices (e.g., IEC 60601 series).
Collaborate with regulatory/compliance teams to meet safety, EMC, and environmental requirements; plan design mitigations (filtering, grounding, shielding, isolation).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Firmware/Embedded teams for board bring-up, interface validation, and system integration.
Work closely with Quality/RA to ensure documentation meets ISO 13485 QMS and design control expectations.
Support manufacturing transfer with process validation inputs and test coverage alignment.
- 3–5 years of experience in medical electronics or closely related regulated hardware development.
Solid grasp of EE fundamentals
: circuits, signal integrity, power integrity, noise, grounding, isolation, and measurement techniques.Hands-on with PCB bring-up
, schematic/PCB layout reviews
, and lab instrumentation (network analyzer, oscilloscope, signal/power generator, DMM, spectrum analyzer).Experience across analog, digital, power
, and RF blocks (not necessarily expert in all, but comfortable working across domains).Proven debugging and issue analysis skills, including methodical data capture and documentation.
Practical experience with EMC testing for medical devices (pre-compliance, mitigation, and report interpretation).
Strong exposure to Design V&V,
test protocol/report creation
, TMV (Test Method Validation), and traceability to requirements.Ability to collaborate effectively with Firmware teams on bring-up and system integration.
Pay Range Minimum: $74000/Year
Pay Range Maximum: $113000/Year

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program;
