Director of Mechanical Engineering - Mechanical Servicing Company - Base Salary to 165k/year - Plymouth, MN

Our client is a fast-growing mechanical servicing company for the Greater Minneapolis area. They design, build, maintain, and service commercial and industrial HVAC and plumbing systems for customers.

• Lead system design for HVAC and plumbing for commercial and industrial clients
• Create system concepts, oversee load calculations, and equipment selections
• Oversee engineering design and drawing review for accuracy, constructability, and compliance
• Ensure drawings and designs are compliant
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, contractors, drafters, and owners
• Support engineering efforts to optimize cost, efficiency, and client satisfaction by reviewing designs and specifications and identifying value engineering opportunities
• Lead, mentor, and develop employees across the team

• 7+ years of experience with designing HVAC systems
• Strong understanding of the HVAC and Plumbing business and trades
• Professional Engineering License
• Extensive knowledge of estimating and design-build processes in commercial mechanical systems
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, including estimating, design, engineering, and project management
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents, blueprints, and bid specifications
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

• Base salary in the 110k – 165k/year range with a strong bonus structure
