Position: Structural Engineer (Future Project Manager)

My client is an industry-leading structural engineering consultancy known for its technical depth, collaborative culture and long-standing relationships across commercial, industrial, institutional, and specialty market sectors. Their team combines practical design expertise with innovative problem-solving to deliver safe, efficient, and buildable structures.

With continued project growth, they are seeking a mid-level Structural Engineer who enjoys both hands‑on design and wants to step up into leading project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead structural design efforts for building projects from early concepts through final construction documents.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and coordination with architects, contractors, owners, and internal engineering staff.
  • Oversee analysis and design of structural systems utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
  • Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, and provide construction‑phase support.
  • Prepare proposals, assist with scope development, and contribute to client relationship management.
  • Ensure deliverables meet internal quality standards and industry codes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 6+ years of experience in structural design of diverse building structures.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or the ability to obtain reciprocity.
  • Proficiency with structural design and analysis software (e.g., RAM, RISA, STAAD, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of building codes and material design standards.
  • Demonstrated project management experience or strong interest in advancing into a lead role.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.
