As an Advanced Hardware Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting‑edge hardware solutions. You will play a critical role in leading and driving the hardware design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable products that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the advancement of Honeywell’s hardware systems by designing complex hardware architectures, performing rigorous testing and validation, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware components seamlessly.

Responsibilities- Lead and drive the hardware design process, from concept to production, ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications that meet customer needs.
- Design and develop complex hardware systems, including schematic capture and PCB layout, followed by thorough testing and validation.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- 4+ years of experience in hardware design and development, demonstrating strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools, with experience in hardware testing and validation to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to lead hardware design projects from concept through production.
- Experience with high‑speed digital and analog circuit design, FPGA and microcontroller‑based designs is highly desirable.
- Advanced degrees such as Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers and managing complex hardware design projects.
- Strong understanding of industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in hardware engineering.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
- Attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving capabilities.
