Overview

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions. The role involves designing, analyzing, and implementing digital circuits used in the development of memory products, as well as developing silicon‑to‑systems solutions from technology development to product validation.

Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze digital circuits for memory products.
  • Develop and validate silicon‑to‑systems solutions, including advanced memory designs, product development, systems design, and customer validation.
  • Collaborate with design and verification teams globally to optimize manufacturing functions and ensure cost, quality, reliability, time‑to‑market, and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to new product opportunities by assisting with layout, optimization, and physical design of Memory/Logic/Analog circuits.
  • Perform chip floor‑planning, placement, routing, static timing analysis, design validation, and necessary tape‑out revisions.
  • Implement and manage the layout process, including floor‑planning, placement, routing, physical verification, and final signoff for tape out.
  • Utilize tools such as Cadence (Innovus/Tempus, ICC2), Synopsys (Fusion Compiler/Primetime), Mentor (Calibre), and TCL or Cshell for customized flow development.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in chip floor planning, placement, and routing, including power and clock routing.
  • Knowledge of modifying existing script flows.
  • Proficiency in placement of macros, pins, and blockage layers.
  • Experience with static timing analysis using Tempus (Cadence) or Primetime (Synopsys).
  • Hands‑on experience with place‑and‑route tools such as Cadence Innovus/Tempus and Synopsys ICC2 or Fusion Compiler/Primetime.
  • Familiarity with physical verification using Mentor Calibre or Synopsys IC Validator/Hercules.
  • Ability to develop customized flows using Tcl and Cshell commands.
