Electrical Engineer on site:
Minneapolis, MN. W2 hourly contract: $53.55 to $62.95

This role offers a 9/80 work schedule for work/life balance with a three day weekend twice a month. This role involves research, design, development, testing, fabrication, and fielding of complex military equipment within Combat Mission Systems.
- Perform electrical system design on military systems ranging from combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions under the direction of a project engineering lead.
- Research, plan, design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic and electrical systems and components.
- Provide detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product applications.
- Utilize advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures.
- Evaluate vendor capabilities, technologies, services, and their ability to deliver required products or services (senior candidates may perform this).
- US Citizenship is required.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field OR 2+ years with a Master’s degree.
- Relevant experience includes analog and digital circuit design and analysis; development of technical documentation (drawings, reports, technical analysis); creating, reading, and understanding schematics and interconnect drawings.
- Experience performing circuit simulation (PSpice or LTspice).
- Demonstrated ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems requiring professional engineering knowledge.
- Ability to create and manage interface control, information, and technical results to logic; experience a plus with developing and integrating power generation, conversion and storage.
- Familiarity with Simulink, PSpice, and/or LabVIEW; familiarity with programming languages (C#, Lab Windows/CVI).
- Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio; circuit board schematic and layout tools.
- Familiarity with designing for components in a high EMI environment is desired;
Systems Engineering and manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
