Summary

Supports manufacturing and service teams through the calibration, testing, and servicing of ACIT sensor products. Performs a full range of calibration and service duties including test setup, data collection, troubleshooting, and qualification using established procedures and recognized methodologies.

Essential Job Functions

Manufacturing Support

  • Calibrates Capacitive and Inductive measurement systems
  • Performs final assembly and test of finished product
  • Performs troubleshooting of electronic circuit assemblies
  • Performs qualification testing and reports results
  • Works with Engineering on difficult or new product calibrations
  • Drives quality and efficiency improvements in calibration area
  • Troubleshoots and repairs product sent for service
  • Assists in final test and calibration or setup of sensor products
  • Other duties as required in support of the department and the company

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience

Associate’s degree in Electronics strongly preferred; equivalent industry experience in calibration and electronics may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Basic electronics knowledge of analog and digital circuitry
  • Understanding of electronic schematics
  • Operations of electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and waveform generators
  • Surface mount and through hole soldering
  • Troubleshooting failed circuits to sub‑assembly and/or component level in analog and mixed signal systems.
  • Familiarity with MS Office software
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

IPC
620 or J-Std Soldering Certification preferred (active/inactive).

Language Skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
Job Skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment and decision‑making skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands
  • Understanding and experience in Lean manufacturing environment preferred. Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S related performance teams.

Work Environment

Amphenol CIT is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses and hand protection.
