Senior Water Resources Engineer

Responsible for managing and delivering a wide variety of water resources projects including sediment transport, flood risk management, and dam safety. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while mentoring and growing internal staff.

Location & Travel

Position is open to candidates residing in Minnesota or surrounding areas. Candidates residing outside this area and open to relocation must indicate this in their application. Occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be required for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site inspections.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the United States with the ability to obtain licensure in Minnesota.
  • Previous experience with open channel hydraulics modeling.
  • Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Info Works ICM, or PCSWMM.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client and site visits.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in dam and levee design, engineering, and construction.
  • Experience with 2D hydraulic models and CFD modeling.
  • Experience working with teams of drainage, civil, and highway engineers on large transportation projects.
  • Interest in supervising and mentoring other engineers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Compensation

Base compensation expected in the range of $125,000 to $150,000, based on skill set and experience.
