The Impact You’ll Have
Alliant Engineering has a great opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer at our Minneapolis office. As a Graduate Engineer, you will be part of a cohesive Land Development Engineering team and will work on a range of projects from residential communities for national and local developers to diverse commercial and industrial projects.
Responsibilities- Assist in the design and development of residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects
- Prepare construction plans, specifications, and supporting documentation using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Participate in site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control calculations
- Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and other team members to support project goals and timelines
- Conduct research and analysis of data such as zoning ordinances, site surveys, and environmental reports
- Assist in preparing permit applications and coordinating with local and state agencies
- Support project documentation, coordination, and communication with clients and consultants
- Participate in field visits to observe construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications, if desired
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 0-4 years of experience in land development design or construction management is preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, organization and multi‑tasking skills
- Excellent technical, written and oral communication skills
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software

Base pay for this position is expected to be in the range of $70,000 – $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
