- Design custom automation equipment, machine components, and automated work cells using CAD software.
- Develop electrical control systems, wiring layouts, and electrical schematics.
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems.
- Commission, test, and debug automated equipment and production systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
- Lead automation projects from concept through installation and startup.
- Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and customers to meet project objectives.
- Provide technical support, training, and documentation for end users.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality and safety standards.
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with automation equipment and systems.
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial controls.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Solid Works and electrical design software.
- Knowledge of robotics integration and HMI development.
- Experience with machine design, system integration, and equipment commissioning.
- Project leadership or project management experience.
