TheImpact You'll Have
You will play a key role in helping Alliant’s water resources group design drainage systems on complex transportation projects. You will have the opportunity to work closely with MnDOT and our City and County clients throughout the state. There are also opportunities to work on high-profile projects using alternative delivery methods such as Design-Build. As a Professional Water Resources Engineer, you will use your technical expertise to design hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, develop roadway drainage and stormwater treatment systems, design erosion control and sediment management best management practices, coordinate and obtain agency permitting, and perform bridge and culvert hydraulic analysis.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Biosystems Engineering with a hydrology or water resources emphasis
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Minnesota, or ability to acquire license through reciprocity within six (6) months of employment
- 4+ years of previous experience in hydrology and hydraulics, water resources engineering, and storm water management
- Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software
- Demonstrated experience and strong proficiencies with Microstation and GEOPAK Drainage and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with or demonstrated aptitude for collaborating with roadway design teams to ensure drainage systems are coordinated, constructable, and engineered to the appropriate level of detail
- The ability to think spatially and understand how design practices correlate with real-world construction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment

The base salary for this position is expected to be in the range of $80,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
