Salary
Range
: $50,000 - $80,000 per year

- Verify the design meets performance and configuration specifications
- Contract management to verify the project is completed on time and on budget
- Customer management to understand expectations and standards
- Working on multiple CAD packages
- Creating detailed CAD models of manufactured components
- Creating detailed CAD models of purchase parts
- Reviewing CAD models for completeness, interferences, and manufacturability
- Developing detail drawings of purchased components and assemblies
- Developing detailed manufacturing drawings of piece parts, weldments, assemblies, and schematics
- Reviewing detail drawings for completeness, accuracy, and client standards
- Generating Bill of Materials
- Reviewing and updating model and drawing tolerances
- Project CAD layout
- Developing design concepts to perform project function reviews
- Reviewing Bill of Materials for completeness
- Specifying purchase components to be used
- Sourcing purchase components to be used
- Preparing CAD model for FEA analysis
- Preparing project review booklets
- Initiating and moderating project review meetings
- Developing and updating project timelines
- Reviewing project scope and ensuring alignment with contract and expectations
- Updating and tracking action/issue items
- Preparing Engineering Change Order proposals for submission to customers
- Ability to interact at a management level with Mfg Operations, Sales, Clients, and Quality
- Completed courses in trigonometry, mathematics, physics, machine shop, and drafting
- Computer Aided Drafting and Design AAS Degree
- Or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge for successful performance
