Mativ is currently searching for an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) co-op to join our team. This co-op position is an excellent opportunity to learn and contribute to corporate EHS strategic initiatives and the factors that make them successful. We are looking for an enthusiastic and results‑driven intern to support the corporate environmental, health, and safety leadership team in deploying key initiatives at Mativ’s Minneapolis Plant manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities- Lead and/or contribute to defined projects focused on improved EHS data collection, management, communication, from facility to enterprise - level,
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures, training and programs such as MNOSHA, CWA, RCRA, SPCC, and ESG.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship,
- Develop working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health & safety regulations,
- Interact with site EHS leaders and corporate staff on various projects and initiatives.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum GPA-3.0.
- Prior Internship or work experience in a safety related position.
- A team player with exceptional organizational and technical skills
- Proven record of demonstrating the following:
- Problem‑solving and decision making
- Collaboration and teamwork
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to balance multiple assignments at once
- Desire to make a strong contribution in a continuous learning environment, while enhancing readiness for a full‑time career
The hourly rate for this position starts at $22.00/hour.
