Senior Project Manager - Medical Device (NPD Focus) Overview

A leading medical device contract manufacturer is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, high‑visibility new product development (NPD) initiatives. This role is ideal for a strategic, client‑facing leader who can guide programs from concept through commercialization while aligning cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.

You will own project execution end‑to‑end—including timelines, budgets, and resources—ensuring delivery of high‑quality products that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

• Lead cross‑functional teams to drive product development programs from concept through commercialization.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external clients; manage communication and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and internal quality systems.
• Foster strong collaboration across engineering, operations, quality, and customer stakeholders.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks to maintain timelines and deliverables.
• Conduct project reviews and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned.
• Partner with commercial teams to support business development efforts, including project scoping and feasibility assessments.
• Mentor and support junior project managers in best practices and program execution.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 7+ years of project/program management experience in the medical device or highly regulated industry.
• Proven experience leading complex NPD programs through the full product development lifecycle.
• Strong client‑facing experience, with the ability to own and grow stakeholder relationships.
• Development engineering background strongly preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations; experience with 510(k) submissions is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
