Foth is a 100% member‑owned consulting firm headquartered in Wisconsin, dedicated to solving clients’ toughest science and engineering challenges. We are looking for a team‑focused, innovative Lead Hydrogeologist who will work out of Green Bay, WI;
Minneapolis, MN;
Duluth, MN; or Madison, WI, with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule.
- Lead the technical execution of hydrogeological aspects of projects.
- Work with project managers to estimate project costs and consult on technical approach.
- Develop technical approaches for regional hydrologic characterization of groundwater systems in environments comprising unconsolidated deposits and fractured crystalline rock.
- Provide project and technical leadership on complex, multi‑disciplined projects, including managing portions of the project’s budget, scope, schedule, regulatory and contractual commitments.
- Develop and implement technical approaches for numerical analysis of groundwater and surface water systems to support permitting, industrial development and site remediation.
- Teach, mentor and develop other members, and serve as a hydrogeology resource.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience conducting hydrogeological investigations, including at least 5 years of hands‑on field experience.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and executing field characterization programs, including aquifer testing, hydro physical profiling, groundwater modeling, and numerical analysis.
- Proven ability to provide project leadership on complex, multi‑disciplinary projects, including management of budgets, schedules, regulatory and contractual commitments, and delivery of technical consultation.
- Experience integrating hydrogeologic investigations and numerical analyses with feasibility studies and alternatives analyses.
- Previous experience providing expert witness testimony at environmental hearings.
- Master’s Degree in Hydrogeology or Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience working in deep bedrock environments.
- Previous experience with a technical consulting firm.
Compensation: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (base). Base compensation varies based on experience, location, level of responsibility and licenses/certifications.
