The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and mentoring the engineering team, including directing, coordinating and exercising authority for planning, organization, leadership and completion of engineering projects. The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for the implementation and development of manufacturing processes and capabilities to ensure proper manufacturing to obtain maximum productivity and quality. The Process Engineering Manager reports to the Director of Quality and Engineering.
Responsibilities- Conduct regular department one on one meetings with staff to resolve issues, maintain engagement and collaborate on activities
- Support organization planning process that identifies career advancement opportunities for the team and succession planning
- Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets; recommend allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals
- Lead organizational improvement through clear reporting of engineering activities
- Establish and manage measurable goals for the process engineering team
- Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals
- Lead the identification, selection, and qualification of capital equipment
- Stay current on industry trends, impact to our business and opportunities for improvement, including attending trade shows and other opportunities to understand technology
- Lead the development of equipment strategies to aid in manufacturing processes that meets business goals
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to improve profitability and competitiveness
- Follow-up on permanent corrective action plans to resolve any outstanding issues related to quality, production, equipment, tooling, customers, and production controls
- Represent the engineering function to customers. Assist with customer requests, complaints, and returns.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field is required.
- Prefer specific experience with PCB industry with five to eight years of experience in related engineering or applied sciences
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Between sites as needed
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO standards
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and production plants
- Strong coaching and motivational skills
- Knowledge of principles and applications of statistical methods including statistical problem solving
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed customer (internal and external) relationship skills
- Six Sigma Black Belt is desired
We offer a competitive base salary in the $100,000 to $120,000 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus and profit‑sharing opportunities tied to performance.
