Description
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the managerial direction and overall QA/QC leadership within T&D.UMW. This includes supporting and executing business strategy, delivering winning solutions, developing high‑performance teams, and promoting the Burns & McDonnell culture, values, and mission. The manager works closely with project teams and procurement professionals to develop and implement planned and systematic activities that ensure the quality requirements for a product or service are fulfilled.
This role leads a quality culture in a dynamic and profitable manner based on Burns & McDonnell's core values of client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, safety and outstanding service.
- Manage Burns & McDonnell's Corporate Quality Program of policies, standards, standard operating procedures and best practices and how it is applied to T&D.UMW.
- Manage the Burns & McDonnell Quality Audit program within T&D.UMW.
- Responsible for Project Document Management processes and procedures, including the procedure for documents issued for construction.
- Communicate and issue Burns & McDonnell Design Standards.
- Direct and maintain Burns & McDonnell's Q review process.
- Issue and maintain Burns & McDonnell's guide specifications in relation to T&D.UMW.
- Maintain Construction Quality Verification records where appropriate in cooperation with CDB.UMW.
- Track and maintain Nonconformance records.
- Provide technical and industry expertise with respect to Quality Assurance programs.
- Develop business plans to secure internal and external financing within established risk financial parameters.
- Provide leadership, career coaching and development.
- Present monthly information to leadership including quality reporting, audit results, non‑conformances, etc.
- Conduct performance evaluations for selected department/direct reports.
- Provide guidance and instruction to T&D.UMW regarding quality processes, procedures and best practices.
- Maintain compliance with equal employment opportunity initiatives.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, architecture, business, construction, procurement or related accredited program and 7 years relevant consulting experience.
- Expert experience in investigating, evaluating, selecting, and driving the development and application of appropriate procedures for an organization.
- Expert facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven experience leading and completing projects from business proposal through post‑production support.
- Demonstrated success in budget, savings and/or profit margins in completed projects.
- Able to filter and distill relevant information and convey business and technical concepts to diverse client bases and internal technical teams.
- Ability to positively influence, lead and manage teams.
- Excellent planning and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and ability to present complex information clearly to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, including Microsoft Project or equivalent.
$– Yearly. The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations and is based on individual education, qualifications, prior experience, and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in a discretionary year‑end incentive bonus program.
