Engineering Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineer to act as a technical resource and provide work direction to an engineering staff focused on distribution system engineering, system planning, and/or substation engineering functions to ensure a safe, reliable, and economical distribution system.

Key Responsibilities & Results

• Provide supervision and leadership to a team of engineers
• Manage annual line construction capital budget
• Perform and/or coordinate distribution engineering studies
• Engineer and coordinate substation modification and expansion projects
• Specific functional duties will depend on successful candidate's experience

Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• 5+ years' progressive experience in various aspects of electric distribution utility engineering
• Knowledge of the operation of electrical distribution system
• Working knowledge of National Electric Safety Code
• Project management skills
• Strong organizational skills with ability to lead people and to inspire a team
• Able to clearly communicate information and ideas both verbally and written
• Strong customer service skills, both for internal and external customers
• Ability to learn and utilize enterprise software applications such as GIS, WAMS, SCADA, CIS, EA, CAD, and other specific application software
