Job Description
Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an opportunity for a Sr. Project Manager to join our National Industrial team!
This individual is primarily responsible for managing a project team to meet goals, budgets and highest customer satisfaction. The role involves managing specialized facilities such as high‑tech manufacturing plants, laboratories, or biotech production sites with clean rooms, R&D labs, or advanced manufacturing lines, integrating cutting‑edge systems.
Responsibilities- Develop contacts and quickly build relationships with potential customers.
- Effectively negotiate business and legal provisions of construction contracts.
- Consistently achieve high levels of quality, design and profitability on projects assigned to the team.
- Assure the team’s accounts receivables are managed effectively and collected promptly.
- Assure the team’s warranty issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
- Assure that general team administrative responsibilities are carried out promptly and accurately.
- Participate or lead owner/client presentations and negotiations.
- Oversee design development, budget preparation and development of project schedules.
- Supervise team of Project Engineers, Sr. Project Engineers, Project Managers I & II, and Project Assistants, as required, depending on assigned project(s).
- Play a key role in developing procurement strategy including preparing bid documents, negotiating and awarding subcontracts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- At least 10 years of project management experience in the commercial construction industry (industrial preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, building types, estimating, scheduling, cost control, material pricing and design management is required.
- Experience leading science and technology projects (e.g., labs, data centers, R&D facilities).
- Proven ability to manage teams successfully and profitably.
- Can make effective and convincing formal sales presentations.
- Delegate appropriate type and amount of work to others to leverage personal effectiveness.
- Effectively prioritize and balance big picture & immediate responsibilities.
The salary range is $140,000 - $180,000. The salary base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. The position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
