Responsibilities

  • Provide support on hydrologic analysis related to stormwater planning and flood control
  • Conduct hydraulic analysis and design related to rivers, streams, conveyances, dams, and other hydraulic structures
  • Perform water‑quality analysis in urban and/or rural settings
  • Prepare technical reports, plans, and specifications
  • Review permit applications submitted to watershed districts and/or municipal clients for development and redevelopment projects
  • Assist with the preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications and work with clients, permitting agencies, and public officials
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing projects
  • Help ensure project milestones are met and provide regular updates to project managers and clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or a related water resources engineering degree
  • 5+ years of water resources engineering experience with a focus on hydrology, hydraulics, or water quality
  • Experience leading tasks or projects
  • Experience and knowledge of hydrologic modeling and 1D and 2D hydraulic modeling software
  • Possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
