AECOM is seeking a motivated, technically-experienced team leader to serve as Senior Electrical Engineer based in Minneapolis, MN.
Our Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism, and planning (inclusive of landscape design), strategy +, economics, technology solutions, asset advisory, and cost and program management. This diverse team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create. Our B+P offices focus on the Commercial/Corporate, Science and Technology, Health Care, Higher Education, Military and Federal market sectors.

Some of our recent projects include major hospitals, military facilities, data centers, water and wastewater facilities and lab facilities, bridges, package distribution warehouses, and cutting‑edge scientific research facilities.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Performs Construction Administration services, including review of shop drawings, RFIs and review of contractor proposed change orders.
- Evaluates feasibility of alternative design approaches in conjunction with senior team members.
- Performs site/field visits to ascertain existing conditions including equipment condition evaluations.
- Organizes/plans projects to ensure quality controls and project criteria are met and within budget.
- Assists in preparing proposals and presenting to Clients.
- Acts as a Deputy Project Manager assisting with workload planning.
- Assists with mentoring of junior staff within the Electrical Department.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field + 6 years of related experience and/or education or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Professional Engineering License.
- Proficient in SKM and electrical analysis software.
- 8+ years of electrical systems design experience.
- Proficiency using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Ability to interact with others on a multi‑discipline team.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
- Good time management skills, a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- NCEES Record.
- Excellent Communications Skills with the ability to present designs to clients.
- Additional Industry Certifications such as LEED AP or CEM.
