Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports and designs for distribution overhead and underground lines
• Performing load flow analysis, contingency analysis, and coordination studies
• Coordinating the work of the power design team through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project
• Establishing meetings and participating in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
• Conducting work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines
• Reviewing project documents for areas of conflict with other disciplines
• Writing and editing project specifications
• Coordinating with and assisting affected disciplines with addenda, requests for information (RFIs), change orders (COs), and taking responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
• Providing construction contract administration as needed
• Conducting QA/QC on the work of other Engineers, Project Coordinators or Designers, or BIM Technicians as needed
• Performing other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in engineering or MBA
• Preference given to candidates local to the Madison/Milwaukee, WI or Minneapolis, MN area
• Some travel may be required
• Medium voltage design and power system study analysis experience
• Part of a local or national organization within the industry
• Previous presentation or white paper experience
• Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm or electrical utility
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in project execution within the Power Sector Market

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example:
  Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software. (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Auto Pipe, and Revit)
