Your Opportunity We are hiring a Water/Wastewater Engineer-EIT to perform engineering work under supervision requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out a sequence of related water/wastewater engineering tasks such as the preparation of plans, designs, calculations, and reports in accordance with established codes and standards.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Use knowledge of general concepts of relevant engineering elements including the analysis and design of water supply, distribution and treatment systems, sewerage networks, and wastewater treatment systems.
- Perform basic calculations to analyze and design water/wastewater system conveyance and treatment components.
- Assist team in preparing water/wastewater designs, drawings, specifications, presentations, and reports, and gather information to support design decisions.
- Assist in basic interpretation and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
- Work with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer.
- Assist the team in providing support services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.
- Perform field work related to design site visits and construction observation activities as required.
- Work in office minimum of 3 days per week.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to creatively apply technical knowledge.
- Attention to detail, positive attitude, desire to support team success, and ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering with an emphasis on Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
- EIT Certification required.
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
- Position will work in both a field and office setting. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Must be available to travel for out-of-town projects when needed.
