Job Description
Ryan Companies is looking for an organized, innovative, collaborative and forward‑thinking individual who aims for the highest standards of excellence to join our team in Minnesota.
Responsibilities- Work in tandem with Civil Engineers, Architects, Development, Construction and Consultants to develop documentation for coordination and construction.
- Participate in creating a complete and thorough set of site documents to meet project goals, milestones and schedule.
- Assist in site design and plan preparation to depict site layouts, grading, stormwater management, erosion control and utilities.
- Participate in site design meetings, consultant meetings and project team meetings.
- Gather background site data from online resources.
- Assist in analyzing site constraints.
- Assist in zoning code reviews and researching agency requirements.
- Perform basic CAD drafting tasks and engineering calculations.
- Seek guidance on unusual or complex issues.
- Apply basic principles of design and solve problems.
- Perform tasks with a high level of collaboration.
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs.
- Mathematical background and solid understanding of engineering principles (hydrology, grading, etc.).
- Strong interest in site development.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- At least 2 years of similar experience.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (EIT) in the state of employment.
- LEED AP designation (desired).
Base pay range is $62,000.00–$77,800.00 annually. Salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or incentive program.
