Decarbonization Project Manager
We are looking for a Decarbonization Project Manager to support a growing natural gas decarbonization and clean energy improvement program. You will lead the implementation of pilot and research projects focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and advancing energy solutions. The Project Manager will oversee multiple approved pilot projects while collaborating with subject matter experts, business leaders, regulatory team members, vendors, and teams to ensure successful execution.
You will report to the Senior Manager, and this is a hybrid position in Minneapolis, MN. You will also help develop future innovation plans, evaluate latest technologies, and perform lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions calculations using the GREET model.
- Manage approximately 15 decarbonization pilot projects from planning through completion.
- Coordinate activities across our teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Monitor schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Gather project updates and identify issues, and roadblocks.
- Manage vendor contracts, scopes of work, and project performance.
- Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and status report.
- Support regulatory reporting and program progress updates.
- Help with project governance, processes, and role definition.
- Perform greenhouse gas emissions calculations using the GREET model.
- Develop carbon intensity scores and emissions reduction pathways.
- Research latest decarbonization and clean energy technologies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Public Policy, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in utility, energy, sustainability, environmental, or related industries.
- Direct experience performing greenhouse gas emissions reduction calculations.
- Experience using the GREET model and lifecycle carbon intensity methodologies.
- Project planning, budgeting, tracking, and reporting experience.
