In this role, you will support commissioning activities for multiple high‑profile, national and international projects across core sectors including Workplace, Federal, Education, Hospitality, Healthcare, Justice & Civic, Mixed‑Use, and more. You will collaborate with integrated design teams of architects, engineers, and specialty designers, providing commissioning expertise. Expect to travel approximately 30–50% of your time for construction reviews, functional testing, and building performance diagnostics.

- Review design and construction documents for compliance with Owner’s Project Requirements and Basis of Design.
- Develop commissioning plans, specifications, pre‑functional checklists, and functional performance tests.
- Perform site inspections and functional testing to verify system installation and operations.
- Collaborate with contractors, owners, occupants, and operators to identify improvements in building operations.
- Identify, track, and resolve issues impacting system performance.
- Provide feedback to design teams to ensure optimal design strategies.
- +7 years of hands‑on experience in commissioning building systems.
- Strong knowledge of the building design and construction industry, with familiarity in the commissioning process for new construction, major renovations, and existing buildings.
- Understanding of energy use, indoor environmental quality, operations, and maintenance in building commissioning.
- Familiarity with MEP and building automation systems, with the ability to evaluate and test system performance.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong organizational and computer skills.
- Self‑direction and the ability to manage your own time.
- Ability to climb structures and inspect equipment at high altitudes and in confined spaces.
- Commissioning certification from a recognized body (ACG, BCA, or ASHRAE).
- Licensed Professional Engineer or Trade Worker.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.

Pay Range: $84,700 – $144,430 USD, based on location, experience, and skills.
