Join a highly collaborative engineering team in Plymouth that designs the critical Automated Endoscope Reprocessing (AER) equipment used in hospitals globally. The Expertise We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an industry veteran with at least 7 years of progressive design experience. This role requires a self-motivated professional who can navigate complex electromechanical designs with minimal oversight.
Your Impact:
- Lead Design & Drafting:
Take ownership of complex product designs and detailed drafting using CREO, ensuring all documentation meets rigorous medical standards. - Master PLM Architecture:
Utilize Windchill for design control, release, and change management (ECNs) throughout the product lifecycle. - Innovate & Troubleshoot:
Solve intricate design problems for New Product Development (NPD), moving from initial specification to verification testing. - Cross-Functional Leadership:
Act as the technical bridge between vendors, sourcing, manufacturing, and service teams to bring designs to life. - Hands-On Validation:
Plan and execute engineering test protocols using Good Lab Practices (GLP) and documentation standards.
Qualifications:
- Required Experience:
7+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and drafting. - Technical
Education:
Associate's degree in a technical field, drafting certification, or equivalent vocational training. - Software Mastery:
Proficiency in CREO (Required) and Windchill PLM (Required). Familiarity with AutoCAD or Altium is a plus. - Manufacturing Knowledge:
Proven experience designing for multiple methods, including injection molding, machining, cable harnesses, and PCBAs. - Technical Toolkit:
Comfortable using hand tools, calipers, multimeters, and oscilloscopes for hands-on validation.
