Ryan Companies US, Inc. is hiring an MEP Project Executive for its National Mission Critical team. The role focuses on managing complex hyperscale data center projects.
Responsibilities- Act as the primary subject matter expert on all aspects of data center construction, providing guidance on constructability, system selection, and value engineering for critical MEP infrastructure.
- Oversee design development, budget preparation, and scheduling for hyperscale data center projects, ensuring integration of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Lead procurement and subcontracting strategies for long‑lead MEP equipment, specialized vendors, and trade partners critical to data center construction.
- Manage performance of the project team, provide regular feedback, delegate tasks, and recognize achievements.
- Deliver formal sales presentations and negotiate business and legal provisions of construction contracts.
- Supervise Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators; achieve team financial and risk management goals.
- Participate or lead owner/client presentations, negotiations, and team meetings.
- Ensure effective accounts receivable management and prompt collection.
- Oversee project closeout, including Level 4 and Level 5 commissioning of all critical systems, and resolve warranty issues.
- Coordinate workload and responsibilities with market sector leads to balance integration between sector and region talent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of proven construction experience with a significant portfolio of hyperscale data center projects.
- Expertise in complex electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and energy systems, including high‑voltage substations, backup generators, UPS systems, and liquid or chilled water cooling solutions.
- Track record of managing large‑scale technical project teams.
- Strong hiring and talent development abilities.
- Willingness to travel for projects as needed.
- Desirable:
Experience leading hyperscale projects exceeding $400M, advanced knowledge of Level 1‑5 commissioning and integrated systems testing, experience with energy control plans, and relationships with key hyperscale clients.
Salary Range: $160,000 – $200,000, with potential additional commission or incentive programs based on performance and location.
