Job Title
Job Description
Interpret print and models, create CNC programs and set up machines to produce the component for Swiss or Milling machine centers
Select cutting tools that will achieve cost effective tool life and fully utilize the tool
Develop a process that is capable, cost effective and sustainable
Write work instructions and procedures to support the process
Full understanding of G-code
Advocate and implement the highest quality standards and LEAN principles
Assess and communicate technical specifications to all departments
Identify and complete continuous improvement projects (Cycle time reduction & Perishable tooling selection and cost reduction)
Create and coordinate engineering tests
Perform quality assurance tests to ensure specification compliance
Assist/or develop in the development of tool design and CNC programming
Modify through change control, BOM/BOO within the ERP system
Assist with all costing and quoting functions – for tooling
Resolve daily manufacturing issues per LEAN structure
Maintain machining and secondary operational processes

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
2 – 3 years of experience in technical field
Experience with CAD and CAM software – preferably Solid works, NX and Esprit
Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment, especially word and excel
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the design and selection of fixturing and tooling for complex parts
Experience in a precision manufacturing shop environment
LEAN / Six Sigma training and demonstrated application
Experience working within an ISO 13485 environment

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $91500.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
