Lead Engineer Tech II
As a Lead Engineer Tech II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in leading and managing engineering projects within the Aero Electronic Solutions domain. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, coordinating engineering activities, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions that meet aerospace industry standards.
You will report directly to our engineering management team and you'll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location on an On-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the development and implementation of advanced electronic solutions that enhance aerospace product performance, reliability, and safety. Your expertise will drive innovation and operational excellence within the engineering team.

Set up, operation and maintenance of the following equipment to fabricate high-quality hardware:
Manual mill, Manual Lathe, Drill press, Grinder, etc.
Create, repair and modify jigs and tools
Fabrication parts directly from 2D drawings/sketches and CAD files
Fabricate, maintain, repair and/or alter mechanical assemblies and system using both manual and automated machinery following technical requirements, specifications, etc.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field/discipline
- 10+ years' experience as a machinist/toolmaker
WE VALUE
- Previous work experience as a machinist, tool designer, etc.
- Ability to interpret standards, engineering specs and geometric dimensioning and tolerance
- Existing experience and familiarity with inertial navigations devices and systems
- Associate's degree or equivalent certification in machine tool technology, machining, engineering or related field.
- Experience with TIG/MIG welding, small parts assembly
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office)
- Ability to work independently, while making sound technical decisions on objectives and assignments
- Advanced education/accreditation (Bachelor of Science) in related engineering fields
- Experience and familiarity with 3D and 2D CAD and CAM tools.
