SPT Microtechnologies is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade oxidation and LPCVD vertical furnace systems at semiconductor fabrication facilities throughout North America and internationally.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys solving complex electromechanical problems, working directly with customers, and traveling to cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing sites.

When not deployed to customer sites, the Field Service Engineer will support R&D and production activities at SPT facilities.

• Install, integrate, troubleshoot, and maintain semiconductor process equipment
• Travel approximately 60% of the time to customer sites
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools including:
• DVMs
• Helium leak checkers
• Laser particle counters
• Review equipment engineering specifications and provide improvement feedback to factory teams
• Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and technical support
• Perform service work on systems involving:
• Robotics
• Thermal systems
• Advanced control software
• Precision optics
• Gas and chemical delivery systems
• Pneumatic controls
• Work safely within ultra-clean semiconductor fab environments

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related technical field
• OR
• 3+ years of electromechanical field service experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and cleanroom protocols
• Experience using specialized diagnostic and maintenance equipment
• Mechanical troubleshooting capability
• LOTO certification or equivalent safety training
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently

• Robotics troubleshooting knowledge
• Experience updating schedules/Gantt charts and coordinating field activities

Pay Range: $33.65 – $43.27 per hour
