Please see the below requirements for a Senior Systems Engineer to Senior Principal Systems Engineer with an established medical device company in the Minneapolis, MN area (Hybrid, 3 days onsite). This role offers the opportunity to work on a commercially successful implantable medical device platform that continues to evolve through significant investment in next-generation product development. Depending on experience level, you'll contribute to or lead system architecture, requirements development, risk management activities, verification & validation efforts, and cross-functional product development initiatives spanning hardware, firmware, software, wireless connectivity, mobile applications, and cloud-connected technologies.
This is a highly visible R&D position where you'll have direct impact on product innovation, technical decision-making, and the development of technology that improves patient outcomes worldwide.

Requirements- BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline
- Experience developing system requirements, product architectures, and technical specifications for complex multidisciplinary products
- Experience working across hardware, software, firmware, and systems teams in a structured product development environment
- Experience with risk management, FMEA, design controls, verification & validation, and product lifecycle documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical tradeoffs
- Experience communicating technical concepts across engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and leadership teams
- Ideally experience with wireless communications, connected devices, mobile applications, cloud-connected systems, signal processing, sensing technologies, or embedded systems
- Preferred experience within medical devices or other highly regulated industries
- For senior-level candidates, experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, driving system architecture decisions, and leading complex product development programs is highly desired
Location:
Minneapolis, MN Area (Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite)
Compensation:
Up to $205,000 base salary, plus bonus, equity/stock options, and comprehensive benefits (varies based on level and experience)
